1. Quran — Arabic text

• The text is bundled with the app verbatim and unmodified, as Tanzil's terms require.
• Tanzil's copyright notice is kept inside the data file itself, and the attribution is shown in the app (More → About · আরও → অ্যাপ সম্পর্কে).

1a. Hafezi Quran — Madinah Mushaf page images

• The pages are the Complex's own files (verified against the MD5 checksum the Complex publishes), converted to lossless images — the text is unaltered; only the surrounding white margin is trimmed.
• They are hosted on our Cloudflare server and downloaded inside the app one juz at a time, for offline reading. Nothing about you is sent — only the page number.
• A 15-line Indo-Pak (Nastaleeq) Hafezi Mushaf will be added only after written permission from its publisher.

2. Quran — Bengali translations

• Copyright in a translation belongs to the translator, not to us — the Arabic Quran itself is under no one's copyright, but a translation is a separate creative work.
• We rely on permission that the publishers have already given openly. Tanzil states of the translations it distributes: “The translations provided at this page are for non-commercial purposes only. If used otherwise, you need to obtain necessary permission from the translator or the publisher.” This app is free, ad-free and has no in-app purchases, so it falls squarely inside that permission.
• The Zakaria translation and its footnotes are fetched by your device directly from QuranEnc.com (version 1.4.4), one surah at a time, and shown exactly as published. QuranEnc permits republishing on condition that the text is not modified, added to or cut, that the publisher, source and version are credited, that it is kept up to date and that no inappropriate advertising accompanies it. The app refreshes each saved surah monthly.
• The Muhiuddin Khan and Zohurul Hoque files are downloaded by your device from the public fawazahmed0/quran-api dataset on the jsDelivr CDN, which lists Tanzil as their source. That project's Unlicense covers its code; the permission for the translated text is Tanzil's, quoted above.
• Our undertaking: this app will stay free and ad-free. If that ever changes, the translations will be removed unless written permission has been obtained first.
• Every translation is shown in the app with its translator's name.

3. Hadith

• The app offers no hadith book downloads. Earlier versions offered Bengali translations of Bukhari, Muslim and other collections from a public dataset. That dataset's Bengali source publishes no licence, and the translations are the work of Bangladeshi publishers — so we removed them entirely (September 2026). Copies left on a phone by an earlier version are deleted automatically.
• Hadith quoted elsewhere in the app — in duas, daily deeds and the daily quote — are shown with their book name and hadith number, and the grading where one is stated.
• The 439 quotations in the app’s daily-quote feature (“আজকের বাণী”) were each checked one by one against the reference collections before release.
• If you are a translator or publisher and believe any wording in the app is yours, please contact us. We will credit you as you wish, or remove it — whichever you prefer.

Word-by-word meanings

• Bengali word-by-word meanings and the list of full-surah recitations are fetched from Quran.com (api.qurancdn.com). Quran data provided by Quran Foundation. Rights to each translation belong to its translator and publisher.

4. Recitation audio

• We deliberately include one reciter only. Recitation recordings carry performance rights, and we would rather offer fewer voices with a clear, stated source than many with an unclear one.
• The app hosts no audio. Your device streams or downloads the file straight from the public source above, for personal, non-commercial religious use. The app is free and carries no ads.
• We claim no ownership of the recitation. All honour is due to the reciter.
• If the reciter, the producer, or a rights holder wishes the audio removed or credited differently, we will comply on request.
